How to Take Care of Your Tattoo After the Session
Once your tattoo session is finished, I will apply second skin (protective film) to your fresh tattoo. This film will make the healing process easier and safer. Your job is to take care of it afterwards.
1. First 24 hours
-
Keep the film on. Don’t let water get under it — the glue needs to attach properly to your skin.
-
Avoid pressing or scratching the area.
2. First 5 days
-
Leave the second skin in place. It protects your tattoo from bacteria, rubbing, and excess moisture.
-
You may notice some fluid under the film — this is normal.
3. Removing the film
-
After 5 days, carefully peel off the film under lukewarm water.
-
Do it slowly to avoid damaging the tattooed skin.
4. After removing the film
-
Wash your tattoo gently with fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water.
-
Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
-
Apply tattoo aftercare cream 2–3 times a day and whenever the skin feels dry.
5. What to avoid during healing
-
Don’t scratch, peel, or rub the tattoo.
-
Avoid swimming pools, saunas, and heavy sun exposure.
-
Don’t use alcohol-based products or strong disinfectants on the tattoo.
✨ With second skin and proper care, your tattoo will heal beautifully, keeping its details and colors vibrant for years to come.
